PlainPeek is a free browser utility. It lets you reveal or copy the existing value of a password field on the page you explicitly activate. It has no account, advertising, analytics, external dependencies, or extension-initiated network requests.
When you click the extension, it temporarily accesses password fields and their labels in the active page and accessible same-origin frames. It reads whether a field has a value to enable its buttons. Reveal changes the field type locally and automatically hides it after approximately 15 seconds, or when the page is hidden. Browser suspension can delay timers.
Only when you choose Copy is that field's current value transferred to the extension popup and written to your system clipboard. Password values are not logged, saved in extension storage, uploaded, shared, sold, or used for profiling. Field references and labels exist only in memory. The extension does not read your clipboard or automatically clear it. Clipboard contents may remain until replaced and may be handled by clipboard history, sync, or other software on your device.
There are no all-sites host permissions, background content scripts, browsing-history access, cookie access, or password-manager database access. Browser pages, the Chrome Web Store, cross-origin frames, closed shadow roots, and some custom controls are not supported.
Click Hide or Hide all at any time. Uninstalling removes the extension. Reload any open page to remove an already injected helper. Password visibility changes do not change your account password or submit forms.
Any local handling of user data is limited to the user-requested display and copy functions described above and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
