How accurate is citation verification? How do you ensure these aren't AI-fabricated?
We compare citation information with records in academic databases and show match status and traceable sources. A matching record does not prove support for your claim, and a missing record does not prove fabrication. Review the original paper, study design and verification notes.
Is my research data and drafts safe on LitSource?
Connections use HTTPS (TLS) in transit, not end-to-end encryption. Requests may be processed by the services needed to provide search and analysis. See the Privacy Policy before submitting unpublished or sensitive material.
Which databases does LitSource cover? How often is data updated?
Search and verification use sources including PubMed, PMC, Crossref, OpenAlex and Semantic Scholar. Coverage, indexing delays and full-text access vary by source; newly published papers may not be immediately available.
Does it support non-English claims?
Yes. With our built-in bilingual cross-referencing model, you can input claims in Chinese or other languages. The system automatically converts them into precise English search queries to retrieve global literature.
Which reference management tools are compatible?
Download citation files such as BibTeX and RIS, then import them into compatible tools such as EndNote, Zotero or Mendeley. This is a file export, not a direct connection or push. Available formats and bulk-export access depend on the page and plan.
How are credits used? Am I charged for failed searches?
Each successful literature search costs 1 credit. Citation verification costs 3 credits for each batch of up to 10 references. Search credits are not deducted when no qualifying results are found.
Is there a free tier? How do I get more credits?
The Free plan includes 10 credits per month. Higher-volume users can choose a monthly or annual Pro plan, or purchase the one-time Trial Plan with 300 credits and Pro access for 30 days.
